"From The Ashes" is a 56-minute documentary chronicling the history, loss and rebuilding of Tick Hall, a 125-year-old landmark house that was completely destroyed by a fire in 1997. The film premiered at the 2001 Hamptons Film Festival in New York and is scheduled to be broadcast locally on Thirteen/WNET New York in 2003.
"The film speaks to everyone who has ever lost something or someone irreplaceable. ...The documentary is a paean to rebirth, to the very possibility of it." - The East Hampton Star
"A gentle-spirited cross between 'CSI' and 'This Old House'" - Matt Seitz, New Jersey Star Ledger
